Book: “Bridge to Terabithia” by Katherine Paterson (1977) The life of a ten-year-old boy in rural Virginia expands when he becomes friends with a newcomer who subsequently meets an untimely death trying to reach their hideaway, Terabithia, during a storm.
Movie: “Bridge to Terabithia” Released in theaters February 16, 2007. Starring Josh Hutcherson, Zooey Deschanel, Robert Patrick and Emma Fenton, “Bridget to Terabithia,” relates the story of a preteen's life, which is forever changed after befriending the new girl at school.
