A circus tent set up near his nursing home leads Jacob Janlowski to recall his experience when he worked for a traveling circus in the 1930's. Hired as a vet to care for the animals, Jacob is challenged by Rosie, a non-cooperative elephant. He involves himself in thelives of t he performers and the workers of the circus.
