Book: “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”
by Judi Barrett and Illustrations by Ron Barrett (1978)

The tiny town of Chewandswallow was very much like any other tiny town except for its weather which came three times a day, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. But it never rained rain and it never snowed snow and it never blew just wind. It rained things like soup and juice. It snowed things like mashed potatoes. And sometimes the wind blew in storms of hamburgers.

Movie: “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” Released in theaters September 18, 2009. Featuring the voices of Andy Samburg, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Al Roker, and Bill Hader, “Cloudy” tells the amazing story of a town whose weather turns out to be all food. Based on the beloved children’s book of the same name.
