Beat a path to change – To kick off the week, swing by the programming room to learn how you can make a difference at your library. Participants between the ages of 12 and 18, will get a cool cup for helping to compose the Little Dixie Library RAP!

While dealing with her parents' separation and her best friend's distance, Amanda is able to work out some of her anxiety through her fifth-grade project--writing a diary from the point of view of a ten-year-old girl whose brothers fight on opposite sides in the Civil War.

Little Dixie Reading Group - "The Poisonwood Bible"


"The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver

The thrilling story told by the wife and four daughters of an evangelical Baptist missionary to the Belgium Congo in 1959. Set during the Congo's fight for independence and unraveling of the family. Nathan Price and his family to go Africa to "civilize" the Africans without a thought to traditions or beliefs.

Everyone is welcome to join in a lively literary discussion of books from today and yesterday. Library book discussions will be in the Moberly Library Board Room.
